Replacement Theory is not a Theory anymore. They started doing this 20 years ago, slow boil, it's intentional. I have no problem with anyone getting a job they are qualified for but that's was not the case 90% of the time. On a team of 25, divided in 3 branches, over 3 years, about 10 were fired for gross incompetence, violent behavior, lying, negligence. They did not quit, they were let go after they broke things or would not do their job. Not to mention hostile to Americans of all colors.
Another scam would be to get 1 H1B visa worker from india to come in to code. But he'd be a complete idiot, so was actually a *placeholder* sitting in a cubicle here, but was actually either talking to the real programmers back in india being told what to do. Or would allow remote access to his PC to the real techs back in india and let them do the actual work! But now we have to consider - HOW SECURE would this now be? Especially if this is being done at an American government, military, or public utilities company, and this idiot just gave remote access to overseas! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬💯‼️🖕🇮🇳
As to the H1B visa workers from india not having any *creative thinking* skills? Oh I can absolutely concur on that statement, and from firsthand experience! HCL is a prime example (and quite familiar with them 🤬🖕‼️). They were bragging years ago how they'd take hundreds of kids out of schools and place them into a "coding campus" and teach them ONE WAY (THEIR HCL WAY) on how to code in one language! Not taught any theory or explanations, just "input this here, input that there, etc etc etc....." and then pump them out to America to steal our jobs! And as you mentioned Kevin, when some non standard problem would occur? They'd be utterly stumped! Or, the coding would be so subpar, a new batch of H1Bs would be brought in, and eventually a REAL AMERICAN programmer would have to be brought in to either fix the mess, or rewrite the entire program over again, from scratch!
Would absolutely love to Kevin! But we need to discuss that first (call or FB messenger?), as you know how emotionally involved I am about this subject 😉😉 and I tend to not hold back on my opinions and colorful language 😱😉
I remember the hey-days of Intel when a new PC CPU was practically released nearly each month! 286 > 386 > 486 > Pentium (and it was A GAME that caused the death of the 486 chips!) > Pentium 2.... And then it all seemed to STOP✋⛔🛑‼️
The myth that H1B workers are necessary to compensate the shortage of experienced engineers and other areas of expertise in the U.S.A. is a big fat lie, GROSS MISTRUTH. An absolute untruth. I worked around hundreds of H1B workers and can attest to the fact that they are much less qualified then American citizens when they are hired. Most lie on their resume’s to get the job. Then they wing it once they get in. Some make it some don’t. Some have friends on the inside to help them through doing their job. They will not ask team members for fear it will exposed the lack of experience they have or their language barrier. Yes many cannot speak very English at all. So please explain how they could read, write a technical document or work with a client, write a report.
The only reason an employer prefers H1B is they can get away with paying them ¼ to ¾ less salary than an American worker. They also have much more leverage over H1B workers for many reasons I will state further. That is all. No legitimate other reason.
We have experienced that American workers perform the tasks much more efficiently than an H1B. H1B’s are inefficient. The ONLY reason companies hire foreign H1B workers is because they can get away with paying them in most cases one third of what they would pay an American worker. H1B is willing to accept $15 to $20 an hour, opposite than an American who would make $40 an hour for the same, or similar work. The government and private companies has H1B developers working for about $20 an hour when the market pays $40 an hour for a novice. Experienced developers make $50 an hour at the least.
In looking at this from an annual salary, a support and administration technician that at market salary makes $75K per year, the H1B will get paid as low as $35K as an H1B. That H1B is willing to work for lesser salary, as it is a lot of money to them. Most H1B’sco-habitate in a household with multiple families, multiple incomes pouring into the home and have minimal bills. They can afford to make less.
An H1B worker is not the same worker as an American. You do not get the same quality. Many intangible benefits are lost with H1B. Most of these foreigners cannot communicate verbally, in writing including email and technical documentation. They are unable to express the English language and words correctly which is very important when communicating technical information. So often I have seen, someone else, an American, has to type the email for them to send out information to management, stakeholders because their grammar is so bad.
Communication is very important when you are on a team. However, they are able to communicate with their fellow mide eastern co-workers in their own language. Americans are left out of discussions. Collaboration among American piers is lost since their grammar is so limited. There is minimal if no collaboration because it is difficult for them to speak English and convey technical information. Even more they do not want to be called out and found out for their lack of grammatical skills.
H1B not only negatively affects the one American whose job they take. This situation is a monster that has many tentacles. One H1B worker negatively affects MANY Americans in several ways as myself and my American co-workers have witnessed described below.
Many are very prejudice against Americans and will not share information with fellow AMERICAN team members, this is the mentality they possess. Then their team members cannot complete their tasks because they need information. I have seen this hundreds of times, there is NO KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER. Knowledge transfer is how the team is successful, you know that "helping each other thingy". They would intentionally withhold information from Americans in their organization just to make them look better or whatever primitive reason they had.
In regards to how the thousands of H1B visa workers from india live in America once they are hired? You are correct about them cohabiting in apartments with fellow H1B visa indians! Where I live, a couple of years ago some unknown corporations suddenly began buying up all the apartment complexes here in my area in Texas. Even many of the new homes as well. Not to mention many of the once American owned local restaurants and stores in the area have now been taken over by indians!
Now these corporation owned apartments began to turn away American families from moving in, in preference towards only allowing more H1B visa workers from india to come and move in! And often turn a blind eye to 10-20 adult H1B indians per apartment, bunkbeds along every wall, which is illegal as to the legal occupancy limits of only 4 per 2bdrm apartment!
I am now practically the last American still living here (since 2007 when it was a normal AMERICAN apartment community!), and I feel like that last US Marine on the roof of the Saigon American embassy during the fall of Vietnam, being tasked to lower and take away our American Flag 🇺🇸 for the last time! Because my entire area of Texas is no longer part of America, it is now part of india 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🖕🇮🇳💯‼️
As to H1B visa workers from india resumes? Yes many do lie. But even more use plagiarism! If anyone has noticed? There's been for quite a while now hundreds of job offer emails being sent out to American tech workers. 99% of the recruiting agencies sending these emails are totally unknown, mainly because they are absolutely fake/fraudulent agencies that do not exist! And if anyone replies with their resumes, you never hear back from them! Reason being, they are just FARMING RESUMES, which they instead just copy and paste to use for one of their H1B visa applicants to use!
Artsy you are so 100% spot on with everything you mentioned! And because everything you said is exactly the same things I've experienced, but at where I have been working (multiple jobs/locations, and companies), that is absolute proof that these are not one-off issues/accidental/rare occurances, but a total and complete environment of how they perform at any company these H1Bs take over! They can be compared to a plague of locusts, devouring every company they take over, but also similar to a deadly fungus, once 1 (H1B) is let in, they begin to spread (taking over entire departments then on to management), eventually taking over the entire host (CEO, company, say like Google, Microsoft, Cisco, etc), and now making it their new home/base, so as to bring in more (H1Bs) to spread further! It then gets to the point that the only way to cure this infestation, would sadly be to end the host. Google, Microsoft, Cisco, etc today are so infected, the only solution would be to shutdown those companies, and build new ones from scratch (all 100% American)!

I'll have to tell you the story of my day at the US Patent Office.
